Policy
Terms of sale
These terms govern every order placed on this site. The short version is that everything sold here is laboratory material, you are buying it as a researcher, and it never goes into a person or an animal. The rest is the detail behind that sentence.

The agreement
These terms apply to every order placed on juicedrats.com. Placing an order means you accept them as published on the day you ordered. We refer to ourselves here as Juiced Rats, and to you as the buyer.
The research-use notice in the site footer and the acknowledgment you make before entering the site are part of this agreement, not decoration around it. Where anything else on this site could be read as contradicting them, they govern.
What these products are for
Everything sold here is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical reference. Products are not drugs, foods, cosmetics, dietary supplements, or medical devices. They are not for human or veterinary consumption, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic use of any kind.
That is a description of what the material is, not a disclaimer bolted onto something else. Nothing on this site — catalog copy, the compound index, summaries of published literature — is a protocol, a recommendation, or medical advice, and none of it is intended to establish a use in people.
Who may buy
By placing an order you affirm each of the following:
- You are 21 years of age or older.
- You are acquiring these materials as a qualified researcher, or on behalf of a research institution, laboratory, or business.
- You will not administer them to humans or animals, and you will not permit anyone else to.
- You will not resell, transfer, or repackage them for human or veterinary consumption.
- You are not acquiring them on behalf of anyone who intends any of the above.
The acknowledgment is recorded with your order: the exact text you agreed to, the time you agreed to it, and the IP address it was submitted from. We keep it because intended use is a question about what a seller knew and wrote down.
We may refuse or cancel any order, before or after payment, at our discretion. We will cancel and refund an order where a buyer indicates an intent to use the material in a person or an animal, and we will not sell to that buyer again. Because a cryptocurrency payment cannot be reversed, a refund in that case follows the refunds policy.
What we are not
Juiced Rats is not a pharmacy. We are not registered as a 503A compounding pharmacy or a 503B outsourcing facility, we do not compound, dispense, or fill prescriptions, and we do not employ licensed prescribers. No one here is your clinician, and nothing sold here is dispensed against a prescription.
Handling, storage, and disposal
Once material leaves our custody, lawful receipt, handling, storage, and disposal are yours. That includes federal, state, and local law where you are, and any requirements your institution places on you.
Some laboratory supplies are restricted in some states. Checkout blocks the restrictions we know about rather than discovering them at the packing bench — see shipping — but a blocked cart is a backstop, not a legal opinion about your jurisdiction.
Orders, pricing, and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and are calculated on our server at checkout from the catalog price at that moment. A cart cannot set its own price.
- Payment is made in cryptocurrency through a third-party payment processor. We never receive your payment credentials — see privacy.
- An order is an offer. It is accepted when payment confirms and we send a confirmation, not when the checkout form is submitted.
- Sales tax is collected where we are required to collect it, and is shown before you pay.
- Cryptocurrency payments are final on send. Read the refunds policy before you pay.
Title and risk of loss
Title and risk of loss pass to you when we deliver the shipment to the carrier. We still handle transit claims on your behalf rather than sending you to argue with a carrier alone — that process is in shipping — but legally the material is yours from the moment it is handed over.
What we say about a lot
We publish what a laboratory measured, for the lot it measured, with a link to that laboratory’s own verification portal. Where nothing has been tested, the page says so plainly rather than showing a representative figure.
A certificate describes the specific lot named on your invoice and packing slip. It is not a warranty that the material is fit for any particular experiment, and it says nothing about any other lot.
If a lot’s published record turns out to be wrong, that is our error and we remedy it in full. That case is covered in refunds.
Warranty
Beyond the certificate published for the specific lot you received, material is sold as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost time, or lost research.
We are not liable for any consequence of administering these materials to a human or an animal. That use is prohibited by these terms and by the acknowledgment made at checkout. It is not a use we sell for and not one we can be responsible for.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your use, handling, storage, transfer, or resale of material bought here in breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Utah, and both sides consent to that venue.
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stands.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that governs your order is the one published on the day you placed it, and the date at the top of this page is when this version was published. Material changes are dated rather than quietly edited.
